What makes us, us

   I believe that our surroundings and how we're raised is a major influence on who we are. If we look at the interlopers, the two men were raised to hate each other and they did but their was no reason for their hate other than the fact that they were raised to. Then they were put into a life or death situation and they became friends.
   Things similar to this situation happen all the time and change us but there are also times when we decide to change ourselves and our beliefs. I was raised to believe in god by my parents but I haven't believed in him for a long time because I saw no proof that he was real so I decided not to believe in him.
