Blog task #3 - Andrew
The Christian religion believes that god has set a path for
them to follow and when they make the wrong choice, there is consequences. These
consequences push people back on god’s path. God is in control. On the other
hand, The Buddha doesn't have a set belief on free will but he believes
that people can live happily and clear with their own efforts. With this
being said, fate has a different meaning in all cultures and religion. There is
no question that it does exist in some form. In “The Alchemist,” fate is a
strong part of the plot, with the lead character being lead to his goal with
the help of fate. In the real world, I don’t believe in fate, as I do not
believe in god and any other form of gods. We are who we are, we do what we do because
it is our choice, our free will.
It is unfortunate that there are consequences to making the wrong choices, but I guess that they help put you back on the set path, (faith) if it does exist.
