Task #3
In the article about Buddhism it says that "the Buddha taught that effects of our past of karma can be mitigated by present action: in other words, one is not fated to suffer X because one did X in the past. Your actions now can change the course of karma and impact your life now. " In the novel of Never Let Me Go this does not apply because no matter what the main characters did nothing was going to change how their future was going to end up, it was all decide for them by other people
At the end of the article about Buddhism it sais "the Buddha said, we are capable of living in greater clarity and happiness through our own efforts." I think that this apply a bit to the novel that I read Never Let Me Go because one of the main characters although was living a life that was almost completely controlled by other people she still seemed to try to live in the best way she could.
According to Christianity a "verse of the Bible remind us that God may know the plan He has for us and that we do have some control in our own direction." In the story of Never Let Me Go the main characters didn't have control of their future, other people had everything planed for them, where they were going to live, with who also, and what they were going to do, and almost around what age they were going to die, so the main characters could not decide any of that. They only things they had control of were the people they hang out with and their thoughts.
