Blog Task #3

When it comes to free will in the perspective of Christianity it is very simple. Anyone who chooses to follow/believe in this religion are required to follow God. In this religion god is believed to be the creator and ruler of all. In return for the belief in him and for respecting and following who he was, he gives us eternal protection and safety in our lives if we stay true to ourselves and remain a kind-hearted good person. If you were to make a mistake or "sin" you would have to confess your doings to god and be legitimately upset with your actions, and if you do this it is believed that god will forgive you for your sins. In this religion there are guidelines to follow, but in my opinion I would say this religion gives the most freedom. In other religions there are a lot more extreme guidelines and things to follow, where as in this religion god knows everyone is not perfect, but he does have preferences for how humans are to behave.

When it comes to free will in the perspective of Buddhism things become a little more complicated. Anyone who follows/believes in this religion are required to take refuge in The Buddha, Dharma and The Sangha. Buddhism requires the study of scriptures and to learn to be loving, kind and compassion and to keep a calm intelligent mind. The biggest practice in Buddhism is the art of meditation in which you sit cross-legged and calm your mind in humming. Meditation is believed to enhance your way of life and to keep your mind calm and clear of negative energies. In Buddhism free will is a lot more "on a leash" rather than Christianity. There are a lot more practices and studies you have to commit to in this religion and it is very time consuming if you choose to follow it. Many acts are shunned upon and can cause great grief to higher powers in the religion. Buddhism is a lot more unforgiving than Christianity, but through the studies and commitment to this religion you can find that the effects may prove your life to be more positively enhanced and relaxed.
