Blog Task #1: AJ
What makes us who we are is a combination of personal traits and attributes that amount to a person. Not exactly a romantic opinion, I know. If you were to take away one trait from yourself, would you be the same person? In most aspects, sure, but overall you would be slightly less of yourself.
I think that most aspects of your identity are both in and out of your control. Some things are set in stone, you can't change them. Nationality, religion, ethnicity; All are completely out of your hands. The way you present yourself, your predisposition to the rest of the world, your personal interests; Those are all within your control.
I allow myself the belief that we are all set on a path, and then set into the driver's seat, told "good luck", and left alone to make our own mistakes and successes. I consider myself agnostic, meaning I can appreciate the thought of something out there watching over us, and I can also say that astrological signs are a sham.

Do you think as time goes on and the more we learn we can change somethings about ourselves? Such as religion.

DeleteAJ, I disagree with a couple of your examples. You can definitely change your religion, and a lot of people change their nationality all the time when they immigrate.
